I expect a certain level of social engineering, and a certain level of bad English from the phishing attempts that I receive.

These people aren’t even trying, and I’m embarrassed for them.

 

 

Phishing emails rarely use completely correct English, but that’s probably okay, as most people who would fall for such a scam probably have worse English skills than Google Translate. But the text in this example is so outrageously poor. And there are obviously sections of the layout where more text should go. And the text that’s there should be aligned vertically with the image next to it.

This is just an embarrassment to the phisher’s art. This is far below the low water mark of a Verizon or Amazon invoice for $14,000. This is just… no… I can’t write any more. It’s too disgusting. There’s just no pride of craftsmanship.
